The University of Fribourg has discount arrangements with several hotels in the vicinity of the meeting.

Scam Alert!

The organizers of the Meeting  wish to warn the meeting participants about various fraudulent schemes requesting payment for hotel accommodation. Scammers may contact attendees by email or telephone, falsely claiming to represent the University of Fribourg, or our Meeting or some affiliated housing agency. The scammers may use official logos and event details to appear legitimate and may request payment (e.g., via PayPal) or credit card information.

Please note that the organizers of H2S2026 do not request payment from meeting participants for accommodation. All participants must arrange their own accommodation independently, either directly by contacting a hotel or through the usual hotel booking platforms (hotels.com, expedia.com, etc). Any unsolicited payment requests should be disregarded and reported to the Meeting Oganizers.

Suggested Accommodations

A limited number of rooms have been pre-reserved for participants of the meeting in several hotels in and around Fribourg. We recommend booking early, as availability is limited. (Many hotels give local bus tickets for free, as part of the booking; ask at the reception, when you check in.)

Hotel Alpha

Hôtel Alpha is located within walking distance of the city center and offers a quiet, convenient stay. A total of 18 rooms are available. (10 minutes walk from the meeting venue).

This brand new, modern hotel is located slightly outside of Fribourg, with good public transport connections (10 minutes bus ride from the meeting venue).
